Connect your Web2App platform with Meta Pixel for attribution and conversion tracking

Overview

Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) allows you to track the effectiveness of your Web2App campaigns by measuring actions people take on your website after clicking your tracking links.

Getting Your Meta Pixel ID

Log in to your Meta Business Manager account

Click Connect Data Sources and select Web

Choose Meta Pixel and click Connect

Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "My Website Pixel") and click Create

Copy your Pixel ID - it looks like this: 123456789012345

Adding UTM Parameters

When creating your Web2App tracking links, include Meta-specific UTM parameters:

Dynamic UTM Parameters in Meta Ads

Meta Ads Manager supports dynamic parameters that automatically populate:

Available dynamic parameters:

  • {{campaign.name}} - Campaign name

  • {{adset.name}} - Ad set name

  • {{ad.name}} - Ad name

  • {{placement}} - Ad placement (Facebook Feed, Instagram Stories, etc.)

  • {{site_source_name}} - Platform (Facebook/Instagram)

Attribution Windows

Meta Pixel tracks conversions using these windows:

  • 7-day click, 1-day view: Default setting (most comprehensive)

  • 7-day click: Click-based attribution only

  • 1-day click: More conservative attribution

New in 2025: Meta's Incremental Attribution focuses on conversions that wouldn't have happened without ad exposure, providing more accurate ROI measurement.

Configuring in Web2App Platform

  1. Add Pixel ID: Enter your Meta Pixel ID in your Web2App campaign settings

  2. Set UTM Parameters: Configure your tracking links with appropriate UTM parameters

  3. Choose Attribution Window: Select the attribution window that matches your business needs
