Connect your Web2App platform with TikTok Pixel for attribution and conversion tracking

Overview

TikTok Pixel helps you measure the effectiveness of your Web2App campaigns by tracking user actions on your website after they click your TikTok tracking links.

Getting Your TikTok Pixel ID

Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account

Click Connect Data Sources to start the setup process

Select Web as your data source and click Next

Choose Manual Setup and select TikTok Pixel

Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Website Tracking Pixel") and click Create

Go to Data Sources in the left sidebar and copy your Pixel ID

Adding UTM Parameters

When creating your Web2App tracking links, include TikTok-specific UTM parameters:

TikTok Dynamic UTM Parameters

TikTok Ads Manager supports dynamic macros that automatically populate:

Available TikTok macros:

  • __CAMPAIGN_NAME__ - Campaign name

  • __CAMPAIGN_ID__ - Campaign ID

  • __AID_NAME__ - Ad Group name

  • __AID__ - Ad Group ID

  • __CID_NAME__ - Creative name

  • __CID__ - Creative ID

  • __PLACEMENT__ - Placement type (TikTok, Pangle)

Automatic UTM Parameters

Enable TikTok's automatic UTM feature to automatically add tracking parameters:

  1. In TikTok Ads Manager, enable Automatic UTM Parameters

  2. TikTok will automatically add utm_source=tiktok and utm_medium=cpc

  3. Add your custom campaign and content parameters

Attribution Windows

TikTok Pixel tracks conversions using these windows:

  • 7-day click: Conversions within 7 days of ad click

  • 1-day view: Conversions within 1 day of ad view

  • Cross-device tracking: Links actions across devices

Standard Events Tracking

TikTok Pixel automatically tracks key events when properly configured:

  • ViewContent - Product/content page views

  • AddToCart - Items added to shopping cart

  • CompletePayment - Purchase completions

  • CompleteRegistration - Account registrations

  • SubmitForm - Form submissions

  1. Add Pixel ID: Enter your TikTok Pixel ID in your Web2App campaign settings

  2. Enable Auto UTM: Turn on automatic UTM parameter addition in TikTok Ads Manager
