TikTok Pixel

Connect your Zellify campaigns with TikTok Pixel for attribution and conversion tracking.

Integration overview

  • TikTok Pixel is integrated on funnel pages to track user actions for ad attribution and optimization.

  • It runs in the browser only (no server-side events), and respects consent settings.

Get your TikTok Pixel ID

  1. Log in to TikTok Ads Manager

  2. Go to Tools → Events

  3. Click Connect Data Sources

  4. Select WebManual Setup

  5. Choose TikTok Pixel and create it

  6. Open Data Sources and copy your Pixel ID (e.g., C9BF7E47C13B684D24D71A71E5FE068F)

Setup

Where: Dashboard → Campaign → Create Campaign → Campaign Attribution

  1. Fill TikTok Pixel ID

  2. Create Campaign and use the link

Optional test:

  • Append ?tiktok_pixel_id=YOUR_TIKTOK_PIXEL_ID to your funnel URL

Events tracked (browser)

  • PageView: auto on page load

  • CompleteRegistration: right after a successful signup

  • InitiateCheckout: when the user starts checkout

  • The pixel loads only when a valid TikTok Pixel ID is present and consent allows loading tracking scripts.

  • If consent is revoked or not granted, scripts won’t load and events won’t fire.

What this impacts

  • Attribution in TikTok Ads: You’ll see PageView, CompleteRegistration, and InitiateCheckout in TikTok Events Manager.

  • Campaign optimization: These events can be used for conversion objectives, retargeting, and performance reporting.

  • Match quality: Browser-only; subject to browser restrictions and blockers. There’s no TikTok server-side sending in this system.

Using TikTok Pixel with Zellify

Add UTM parameters

Include UTMs in your campaign links:

https://yourwebsite.com/product?utm_source=tiktok&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=holiday_sale&utm_content=video_ad_1

TikTok dynamic macros

https://yourwebsite.com/product?utm_source=tiktok&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=__CAMPAIGN_NAME__&utm_content=__CID_NAME__

Available macros:

  • __CAMPAIGN_NAME__, __CAMPAIGN_ID__

  • __AID_NAME__, __AID__ (Ad Group)

  • __CID_NAME__, __CID__ (Creative)

  • __PLACEMENT__ (TikTok, Pangle)

These macros are expanded by TikTok when users click your ads. They are optional and help populate your UTMs; they do not affect whether the pixel fires.

Attribution windows

  • 7-day click

  • 1-day view

  • Cross-device tracking supported

How to set it up (step-by-step)

  1. Create or get your TikTok Pixel in Events Manager.

  2. In Dashboard → Campaign → Create Campaign → Campaign Attribution, enter your TikTok Pixel ID and save.

  3. Open your campaign link to the funnel and walk through the flow:

    • Visit page → PageView

    • Sign up → CompleteRegistration

    • Start checkout → InitiateCheckout

  4. Verify events in TikTok Events Manager.
